What Is Provider Order Entry (POE)?

The Johns Hopkins Hospital (JHH) computerized Provider Order Entry System (POE) is a tool that facilitates automated order entry, and the display and retrieval of information reflective of patient orders.

POE Access

There are two requirements for an otherwise authorized JHH staff member to gain access to POE:

1. completion of a clinically-appropriate training session available through the CIS Education Center Website; and 

2. possession of a valid JHED ID.
